Our Quest for Faithful Presence

Dear St Luke’s,

This weekend marks our launch into summer. As you walk onto our campus and into our building you will no doubt notice a large lunar lander and other out-of-this-world supplies.  This summer’s Vacation Bible Adventure is space themed, and titled, “Stellar: Shine Jesus’ Light.”  VBA blasts off on Monday June 26th. 

BTW: VBA is weeklong morning day-camp for children who have turned 4 years old by January 1st 2023, through to kids who have just completed 6th grade… Click here to learn more.

After worship, the leaders of this summer’s VBA-space-odyssey could use many hands to transform our sanctuary into a NASA-like space station as part of the countdown to VBA 2023.

But wait there’s more… it’s a Launch Lunch!  You and anyone you wish to bring with you are invited to stay for BBQ… we’re grilling on the patio!  Veggie burgers, beef burgers, hot dogs, with buns, condiments, chips and beverages will be provided.  And, if you are able, we would love it if you might add a side, salad or dessert to share with about eight.

Hope you can stay for bit, the Launch Lunch is really just a excuse to hang out together and enjoy our community. 

The summer season is often a season of travels, camping, seeing friends and family, and adventures of all kinds.  As you go enter your summer please remember that your home base here at St Luke’s is thinking of you and blesses you with connection and joy in the weeks ahead.  Remember you are the apple of God’s eye, and you delighted in.  Thanks for all you are, and your role in making St Luke’s who we are and who we’re becoming.
