Who We Are
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Washington is a progressive, grace-based Christian community rooted in liturgical tradition and growing in love. We welcome spiritual seekers, skeptics, and anyone curious about faith. Whether you’re exploring Christianity for the first time or returning after a long pause, you’ll find a safe space here to ask questions, build relationships, and discover meaning—without pressure.
Worship with Depth and Relevance
This isn’t your grandmother’s church—but we still cherish the richness of Lutheran worship. Our services are grounded in meaningful rituals, sacred music, and liturgical depth. We honor the Lutheran heritage while embracing progressive values, looking both forward and back with reverence and hope. We believe everyone belongs here. St. Luke’s is an inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming church where grace leads the way. We are a multigenerational congregation that values authenticity, connectedness, and spiritual growth. Life is better when lived together, so we gather regularly to share stories, support one another, and walk with God and our neighbors.
Justice-oriented and compassionate
We strive to live out Christ’s teachings by nurturing hearts of gratitude, generosity, equity, and kindness. Our community supports those experiencing displacement, oppression, and uncertainty. Through partnerships with 30Bellevue, Imagine Housing, The Sophia Way, and Porchlight Men’s Shelter, we’ve been making a difference on Seattle’s Eastside for over 50 years.
Families and children: grow in faith and love
Faith grows best in community—and that includes children. We offer a Prayground area in the sanctuary where kids can be themselves during worship. Noise is welcome here! We also provide Sunday School, confirmation classes, and youth events throughout the year to support families on their faith journeys.
