Our Quest for Faithful Presence

Dear St Luke’s,

Just a quick note, as I am packing up and heading to the airport.  This weekend Pastor Deanna will be preaching and presiding.  And Cheri has arranged a special musical guest.  By the time you read this I will be vacationing up in the Canadian prairies, seeing family, and celebrating my in-laws’ 60th wedding anniversary.  I’ll be back the following weekend.

I hope you are able take advantage of these glorious days of sunshine and warmth in ways that renew your heart, mind, and body.  And as you do, may you anticipate encountering and welcoming Christ as you encounter people… I invite you to be especially curious the roles of host and guest.  How might you help another person feel seen cared for?

Remember, God delights in you, and so does our community of faith!  You are not alone.
