COVID-19 and St Luke’s
Below are just a few of the things we are doing to support each other and our neighbors in this era of COVID-19. Let’s keep each other and this whole situation in our prayers. We are doing our best to innovate! For all the latest news, subscribe to our weekly newsletter by contacting our office at office@slukes.org

What will the re-opening of St Luke’s look like and when will it happen? We know many of you are eager to resume worshiping in person – and so are we. We are currently discussing our re-opening plans so check back soon for updates. We may need to open in phases and we may not go back to worshiping like we did pre-Covid for a while, but rest assured, we are working through possible scenarios and we will keep you informed.

Multiple times a year we work with the Salvation Army in Bellevue to cook and deliver meals to the local food-insecure population. Normally our efforts serve between 40 – 50 people. However, the pandemic has created a HUGE need. On one evening in August, we cooked and served over 250 individually-boxed meals. Please consider making a donation to support this effort.

If you would like to stop by and sit in the sanctuary, Pastor Mark will be in the office on Wednesdays from 10a to 1p. Plan on wearing a mask and honoring physical distancing best practices. If Wednesdays don’t work for you then contact pastor Mark for alternate arrangements.

VVBA was such a success! Who knew that going virtual would be so much fun. A huge shout-out to all of our participants and volunteers. The children were amazing and we are grateful for their support and ideas. Join us next year and who knows, maybe then it will be BOTH virtual and in-person!

Every year we conduct a donation drive to acquire school supplies for deserving students. As with everything, this year was a little different. Rather than request supplies, we asked for monetary donations. This year St Luke’s donated enough money to help 1,973 students with school supplies. Simply awesome.

Through the St Luke’s Outreach Committee, we furnish $25 QFC/Kroger gift cards that can be used for groceries or gas. These cards are given to the Bellevue School District for distribution through their Family Connection Centers located in local elementary and secondary schools. Families can come to these centers to receive support for a variety of needs. To date, we have purchased over $5K in cards that have benefited hundreds of families. The need is great. We appreciate your support with this important and ongoing ministry.
